The services program is designed to provide the future workers of Mexico with work experience in building the most innovative directory service online. As a public service, each member of the services program (the student work program) will ask for gratuities that are reasonable for the area they are working in. For example, a fee in Cancun or Cabo San Lucas may be higher than in Zacatecas due to the higher cost of living in certain areas of Mexico. The candidate for this program will referred to as the Service Partner.

What will customers get from using Travectory.com?

After the content is professional designed by a Travectory Partner, the Customer can self manage the minor changes like specials of the day or week themselves without programming skills. If the customer has a computer and know how to use a word processor, they can update their own content with minimal training.
The results of all of the above benefits will ultimately result in a better directory service listing and lower costs and reduced effort than creating and maintaining a full website with greater impact than a website with its own domain name due to the exposure capability. The program is designed to create good technical work experience for the service partner. The skills gained from dealing with customers and technology will be invaluable for the continued success of the service partner and they may choose to turn this work experience program into a career by signing up with the Travectory Partners Program on completion of their assigned territory.
To qualify for the program, the service partner must have the following credentials:
- Be part of a work experience program sponsored by their school or an agency of the government for work experience.
- Computer literate to use a word processor and Internet browser. Ideally, able to work with graphics program to design WebPages.
- Have a computer with internet available. Ideally, the candidate has the computer and internet in their home or place where they plan to work like an internet café.
- Motivated to go out each day of the work week to complete their assigned territory. The goal is to completely cover all the business and property owners/managers in their assigned territory to complete the directory. Estimated minimum hours of work are 35hours/week Monday to Friday.
- If the service partner decides to continue servicing their customers as a professional service provider, they may register themselves with the legal requirements for work and request for inclusion in the Travectory Partners program.
To begin the program, the service partner will be provided with a 3 half day training sessions on using the system and engaging in the registration process with customers. An accelerated full day session is available upon request. The service partner is expected to complete the full term of the work experience program which is expected to be 3 months.
The service partner is expected to participate in a weekly team meeting at a time decided by the manager of the service partner.
The work of the service partner is to help build the most advanced directory service online. That means obtaining content in their local area. This work may be done in one of 3 ways:
- In person canvassing: the service partner will go business to business in their assigned territory with the listing forms to have the business/property owner/manager/representative to fill out the form. Since this is a public service, anyone with information regarding the listing may assist in filling out the form unless strictly prohibited by the owner. A gratitude or tip may be collected from these owners to sponsor the work experience program.
- Phone Canvassing: the service partner will use the existing yellow pages and contact businesses to obtain permission to register their businesses on the system. The listing form will be completed for missing information. This will be a coordinated effort between the service partner and their manager to properly work the listings.
- Leadership Program: the service partner can develop some leadership skills by building their own team to use methods 1 and 2 to complete their assigned territory. The manager in charge will support the leadership role with ongoing coaching.
Registration Procedure:
- Use one of the canvassing methods to meet with customers and to obtain information for the registration. Let the customer know that you are on a work experience program.
- Double check by doing a search for the customer to make sure they have not already been registered. First by asking them during the canvassing and second by doing a Travectory Search to confirm that they are not registered by another agent already before entering content for their business or property listing.
- Complete the registration questionnaire with the customer.
- If the customer does not have an email, then offer to create one of hotmail.com, yahoo.com or gmail.com or any other service you like and can offer it as a service for the customer.
- For the online name, if the user has an email, create their online name account as “First Name” + “Last Name” and any unique character as required just like Hotmail or Yahoo mail to make the online name unique.
- Give the customer the options to create these unique items during the initial visit so you have options to consider when creating the account when not in their presence.
- Explain how the system works with passwords, links and how they can use the links.
- If the customer has a computer and internet at the location, please request to go online and create the listing with them on site.
- Let the customer know again that you are on a work experience program and that you are not paid a salary for providing this awesome service that will benefit them. You will accept a tip or gratitude after completion of the listing. If the customer provides the amount they would pay for this service, please write down the amount of tip expected on the listing form. Notify the customer you will return within 2 days with the completed listing form as a receipt for the customer.
- Go online to create a new account for the customer using the information provided. When registering the customer account, use the city account as the referral. For example, a service partner in Guadalajara will pick “Guadalajara” as the referral account.
- Create the Business or Property listing according to the written form. Use the same city account for the referral.
- After completion of the data entry, obtain authorization from the manager in charge to verify completion of the listing and have it signed by the manager.
- Return to the customer with the completed listing form as a receipt for work completed and the listing number written on a Travectory general business card to have information to go online to check the website.
- Collect a modest tip or gratitude fee if not already done for providing this service for the customer. Expect at times there maybe no tip or gratitude for the service; just the wonderful experience of improving your interviewing skills J
Customer Obligations
The service partner may ask the question, how does Travectory.com support their services without fees from the customer?
Good question. Travectory.com is a marketing company and there are many avenues by which is makes income like selling items on commission or direct marketing using the system.
The customer obligation is expected by not enforced is that they use the Travectory.com link in their traditional marketing methods such as flyers, brochures, menus and business cards which point to their webpage using the Travectory.com shortcuts as follows:
· For a Business listing: www.travectory.com/B###.htm where ### is the customers business listing number.
· For a Real Estate listing: www.travectory.com/RE###.htm where ### is the real estate listing number.
· For a personal webpage: www.travectory.com.com/MySpaces/[CustomerChoosenName].htm where it is customer decided in a sub group called MySpaces.
This level of support is all Travectory.com like to see from the customer. It is a win /win for all involved – the customer, the work experience program and Travectory.com
Customers who already purchased their domain name but have not pointed the website name to a server (parked) can purchase the redirection service. The redirection service is a one time fee that setup’s up the Xplorex DNS server to point to the webpage of the customer. For Example:
Customer’s business listing is http://www.travectory.com/B110.htm
Customer domain name purchased is http://www.canopytourspuertovallarta.com
The customer will point their account with Name Service provider like networksolutions.com to use ns.xplorex.com and ns1.xplorex.com.
Customer can buy the “Website DNS Redirect” from http://www.travectory.com/B170.htm - Travectory.com / Xplorex technical support will redirect http://www.canopytourspuertovallarta.com = http://www.travectory.com/B110.htm
This way, when customers use the .com domain name, it will hit directly the webpage belonging to the customer.

As a work experience program, no fees are expected from the customers. We expect fees of 100 to 500 pesos for work done as a tip to the student for such services.
