FISHING INSIDE THE BAY

Banderas Bay is one of the largest bays in Mexico and Latin America, and it preserves some of the most diverse marine life of the country. Fishing adventurers worldwide have been returning every year since 1940 to enjoy the wonders of the bay while fishing or to relax with a cold beer and listen to the ocean surf. Banderas bay is 40 miles wide, and it's depth ranges from a few miles to hundreds of miles deep -- such as Devil's Canyon at Los Arcos.  Only a local highly experienced captain can take you to the best depths for saltwater and bass fishing. What can an angler expect to catch “inside the bay”? There is a very large variety of fish to be found in the bay.  Skipjacks and Bonita can be caught year round. Different kinds of Groupers, Red Snappers, Sea Bass, Rainbow runner, Trigger fish, Pompanos, Amberjacks, Jack Crevalle (Toro), King Mackerel (Sierra) and the Yellowfin Tuna’s early schools, Mahi-Mahi (Dorado), Roosterfish, Snook and Trophy Sailfish are also some varieties you can look forward to catching.
